The Rundown: Angel tries to find her lost husband while Malcolm deals with an alien threat.
Malcolm is called when an alien is found and delivered to the government. An alien princess who is seemingly on the run from something or someone. Unfortunately, things get complicated when a creature called Bloodshed arrives to take the princess with him against her will. At the same time, Maxine is trying to get justice for being assaulted in public.
As Malcolm fights a pitched battle against a powerful enemy, Angel and Tootsie might have a lead on where Frank is. As she makes her way into Dimension X to find her missing husband, Glum escapes from prison in Frank’s body and proceeds to follow her.
The Story: Larsen delivers an entertaining story filled with a great mix of action and dark comedy. I like that the story kept Malcolm in the background to deliver the action and thrills while the other character progressed elements of their individual stories like Maxine suing Mickey Mouse and Angel’s determination to find her husband. There are several interesting moments throughout the story and it ends with a great cliffhanger that guarantees I will be coming back for more.
The Art: Larsen delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style so much and how each character is unique and detailed in their own way.
